FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves harvesting fodder crops by means of apparatus having replaceable working tools for mowing or picking up fodder crops from field or taking fodder from trenches or stacks; grinding green mass while splitting stalks and mixing by means of two-fan grinder-crusher equipped with pneumatic tube connecting it with accumulating vessel. Two-fan grinder-crusher has rotor and grinding chamber. Rotor has combined working tools formed as hammers and knives arranged in alternation. Grinding chamber has controllable deck with knives and hammers arranged in alternation. Green mass is discharged from accumulating vessel and is finally mixed by means of feeder beaters. Method and apparatus allow all operations for providing farm with fodder to be carried out without employing additional unit.
