FIELD: brewing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has combustion chambers, heaters, air-mixing drying shafts defined by grids arranged in pairs. One of grids is provided with spring and is positioned for reciprocation along width of drying chamber from cam mechanism. Said grid has metal strip extending along its perimeter and is mounted above shutter on guides. Such construction provides for reduced power consumption due to preventing malt from being caught in drying chambers and, as a consequence, from slowing down of subsequent drying process, as well as due to complete utilization of drying potential of air flow, especially before malt discharge process. EFFECT: increased efficiency by intensified drying process and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
