SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of upsetting blank and directing part of metal for forming spherical protrusion on end of blank for making semifinished product with cylindrical head; imparting polyhedral contour to head by reducing its lateral surface while guiding metal of head through open impression of shaping tool and further upsetting head with polyhedral profile in closed impression of tool; performing upsetting simultaneously with pressing out flange.
