FIELD: construction and repair of linear parts of pipe-lines laid underwater. SUBSTANCE: caisson for repair of underwater pipe-lines includes camber comprising two split parts, upper and lower, pit for entry of diver from water surface into chamber and separable rings to put caisson on pipe-line. Novelty of invention lies in fitting of split parts of chamber with longitudinal and lateral stiffening ribs placed on outside of chamber. Separable rings are joined to chamber by means of bolt connection and are made of mountable steel sheet and semishell. Sheet rubber is utilized to seal pipe-line and separable rings. Separable rings are fitted with plates to impart them with rigidity, coming with flange is installed on upper part of chamber to join chamber with pit, hoisting eyes are put on upper and lower parts of chamber. Sockets to ballast chamber are made in its lower part to install beams and to lay ballast on them and swing platforms are intended to make diver's work easier while tightening bolts on lower part of chamber. EFFECT: increased strength of caisson, reduced labor input to its installation on pipe- line. 8 dwg
