THREE-PHASE THYRISTOR SWITCH Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2203519 C2

FIELD: pulse engineering; three-phase load on/off switching. SUBSTANCE: inserted in each phase handled by thyristor switch are current-limiting resistor, two thyristors differentially connected between input and output buses, five diodes, and two regulators. Newly introduced in device are additional thyristor with sixth diode and contact-type control switch. Thyristor control in each phase provides for turning-on and turning-off of contact-type control switch and of additional thyristor. Provision is made to reduce currents through gate electrodes in each phase and to simplify control circuit which is isolated from load circuit and is supplied with voltage leading anode voltage of phase thyristors with the result that enhanced transfer of supply voltage to load is ensured. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, reduced switching noise in on-state. 1 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
