FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting two or more compartments in breathing system including full gas exchange part of the breathing system. Each of the compartments is ventilated with a separate gas mixture. At least one of the mentioned systems includes soluble inert gas. Inert gas consumption is determined. Oxygen consumption is determined in at least two of the selected compartments. Soluble inert gas concentration is determined at the end of respiration cycle and lung blood circulation is calculated from determined consumption values and inert gas concentration at the end of respiration cycle and oxygen consumption value. Device for measuring pulmonary blood circulation of a patient and three-lumen collar-type endobronchial catheter for supplying individual gases into each of three compartments of patient breathing system are also claimed.
