METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING OF SNOW Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: maintenance of motor roads. SUBSTANCE: snow removing method comes to the following: snow removed from road surface is loaded into heated insulated container mounted on self-propelled vehicle directly at place of snow clearing. Said container is furnished with unloading devices. Then self-propelled vehicle is displaced, loaded mass is heated and snow is mixed with melt water by impeller agitator rotating reversely relative to longitudinal axle fitted in container. Then container is unloaded at heating of inner walls of container, either preliminarily or in process of snow loading to temperature of 120-180 C to form melt water from at least part of snow and mixing, speed of rotation of agitator is set in reserve proportion to density of loaded snow or in direct proportion to intensity of snow loading into container. Snow is loaded by loader connected with vehicle for period of loading, preferable by means of rigid coupling. Proposed snow remover contains heat-insulated container installed on self-propelled vehicle and provided with loading hatch and walls heated to temperature of 120-180 C by flue tube burners and with unloading device in lower end face part, and reverse-action impeller agitator mounted in space of container on longitudinal axle. Snow remover is furnished with device to deliver hot gases from flue tube burners, after heating the container, to loading hatch in zone of snow delivery. Part of length of unloading device contains heating system using, preferably, not gases. Container is hinge mounted on vehicle and is provided with mechanism for tilting towards unloading device to let out melt water and/or wetted snow or products remaining after filtration.
