METHOD OF TREATMENT OF WORKING SURFACE OF END SEAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminary deformation of bearing bush and sealing ring, as well as treatment and check of them. Novelty of invention consists in use of simulators of rotor mounting seat and stator sealing unit. Bearing bush is mounted in rotor mounting seat simulator and sealing ring is mounted in stator sealing unit simulator. Preliminary deformation of bearing bush is effected by applying axial force corresponding to working axial load; preliminary deformation of sealing ring is effected by bending moment corresponding to working bending moment. After preliminary deformation, working surfaces of bearing bush and sealing ring are subjected to treatment and are dismantled from simulators. EFFECT: facilitated procedure; low cost of process. 3 dwg
