FIELD: liquefied gas production. SUBSTANCE: in the process gas to be liquefied is supplied to upper tube space of heat-transfer apparatus. Refrigerant is evaporated in lower tube space of apparatus and fed to upper tube space of the latter. Liquefied gas is discharged from bottom part of upper tube space. Refrigerant vapors are conveyed from upper tube space to lower one. Refrigerant vapors are supplied from lower tube space of heat-transfer apparatus to regenerators through which liquefied gas is alternately passed. From regenerators refrigerant vapors are transferred to recovery system. EFFECT: reduced loss of liquid cryogenic refrigerant and gas being liquefied. 3 cl, 1 dwg
