FIELD: mechanical engineering; lifting and transportation facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to load-lifting mechanisms with rope drums. According to proposed method, drum is used containing cylindrical working surface with profiled screw groove and flanges with rope guides to shift wire rope to level of following layer. Method comes to winding wire rope in several layers with deviation of wire rope string of drum and laying wire rope coils with pitch defined by profiled groove, with lifting of rope coils in transition zones owing to use of wire rope guides shifting the rope to following layer of winding. Angle of deviation of wire rope string is set within α = 30′-1°, and in transition zones speed of winding is decreased to Vr = 0,5-1,0 m/s. when placing rope coils on drum. Said drum is provided with wedge insert fitted in clearance formed between initial coil of rope and wall of flange in first layer of winding. Each flange is provided with cylindrical ring steps. Wedges to lift rope coils are arranged in end of each layer of wound wire rope in transition zones for first layer on cylindrical surface of drum, and on ring steps of flanges for following layers of wire rope. Shaped screw groove has pitch S = (1,2±0,5)dr and depth of cut h = (0,3±0,1)dr, and radius of profiled groove is rg = 90,5-0,6)dr where dr is diameter of wire rope. Support surface of wedges to lift wire rope coils can be made with lift not exceeding 0.2 mm/deg. EFFECT: prevention of deformation of wire rope strands. 3 cl, 5 dwg
