CENTRIFUGAL APPARATUS FOR BULK MATERIAL SPREADER AND CENTRIFUGAL APPARATUS ADJUSTMENT METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal apparatus has bulk material guide 3 provided with gate 10. During adjustment of apparatus gate is fixed so as to overlap part of discharge window 4 in order to provide for concentrated supplying of bulk material onto drive disk 1 in the range of central angle of 20-30 deg. Indicator 5 is positioned for rotation within fixed distance around disk 1 by cantilevered attachment of indicator to lever 11, whose other end is fixed to spreader frame through pivot joint 12 equipped with retainer 13 and arranged in axially aligned relation with respect to disk 1. Position of indicator 5 with respect to disk 1 is initially set experimentally with the use of model bulk material, which has been earlier spread and has shown best results. Method involves reducing width of discharge window 4 of bulk material guide 3 at both sides to provide for concentrated bulk material feeding zone for feeding bulk material onto disk 1 in the range of central angle of 20-30 deg; selecting angle of shifting of indicator 5 around disk 1 to reach equality of weights of model bulk material fallen off blades 2 into catches 6 and 7; fixing said position of indicator 5 by marking it on spreader frame. When centrifugal apparatus is to be adjusted due to changed friction characteristics of bulk material to be spread, initially experimentally set position of indicator 5 and bulk material concentration extent in zone of feeding bulk material onto drive disk 1 remain invariable. It allows quality of centrifugal apparatus adjustment to be improved due to the use of known adjustment methods.
