SUBSTANCE: invention describes 4,4'-ditriazinylamino-2,2'-disulfostilbene hydrate of the general formula (I) where M and M₁ represent independently hydrogen atom or alkaline metal; x means a number in the range from 1 to 30. Crystalline form of this hydrate (I) is characterized by roentgenogram represented in fig. 1-11. Invention relates also to mixture comprising two or some hydrates of the compound 4,4'-ditriazinyl- amino-2,2'-disulfostilbene of the formula (I) and to methods for their preparing and to usage of novel hydrates for preparing concentrated aqueous compositions of fluorescent whitening agents.
