FIELD: production of hydrated cellulose filaments. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing alpha-cellulose to radiation with ionizing particles; mercerizing radiated alpha-cellulose with alkali; providing xanthation of radiated mercerized alpha-cellulose with carbon disulfide used in an amount of at least 28% by weight of alpha-cellulose; solving cellulose xanthate in aqueous alkali solution; during processing, adding surfactant selected from the group comprising water-soluble nonionic and/or cationic surfactant in an amount of 0.02-5% by weight of alpha-cellulose. EFFECT: improved qualities of viscose solution suitable for manufacture of hydrated cellulose filaments. 10 cl, 2 tbl, 16 ex
