FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in selection in well section of intervals where treatment of bottom-hole zone with hydrochloric acid resulting in high industrial production rate of oil and gas. SUBSTANCE: method includes coring, preparation of core samples, their extraction with alcohol-benzene mixture, acid treatment. Samples are prepared in form of cylinder, dried up to constant weight, their magnetic susceptibility and weight are measured, they are placed into hydrochloric acid, saturated in vacuum, held in acid for 24h, washed with distilled water up to stabilized pH7, dried to constant weight, amount of rock components dissolved in acid is magnetic susceptibility versus amount of dissolved reservoir rock components relationship is constructed. Intervals for treatment with hydrochloric acid are selected in well section with use of data of magnetic logging. EFFECT: efficient selection of intervals other wellbore for acid treatment with minimal expenditures. 1 dwg
