FIELD: electrical engineering; metal-sheathed cable termination. SUBSTANCE: metal-sheathed cable whose metal conductors are isolated from each other and from metal sheath by means of mineral insulation is proposed to be terminated by arrangement that has sealing member with holes for passing cable conductors which is made of molten glass ceramic formed by its heating and solidification upon cooling down, and also gasket abutting against inner end of sealing member; novelty is that metal bushing is fitted onto end portion of sheath and secured thereon through sealed joint, inner space of this bushing accommodating packing member and gasket. Proposed method for terminating metal-sheathed cables will make it possible to produce heat- resistant cables capable of retaining their sealing properties at longitudinal pressure drop up to 100 MPa and gas pressure up to 15 MPa, as well as maintaining their serviceability at temperatures of 500 to 600 C.
