METHOD OF SEPARATION OF GAS MIXTURE AND PLANT FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2206374 C2

FIELD: separation of gas mixtures, air for example. SUBSTANCE: gas mixture is passed through N>1 pairs of vessels at excessive pressure, where N is number of pairs of vessels at common number Q; they work in adsorption and regeneration modes. Operation of vessels is shifted in time by magnitude T/N, where T is time of adsorption of gas mixture being discharged. Gas mixture is bypassed between vessel removed from operation and that placed in operation. Enriched mixture is delivered to inlet of vessel to be placed in operation simultaneously with delivery of gas mixture; after bypass, enriched mixture is delivered to its outlet from outlet of vessel working in adsorption mode; then, adsorbed mixture is discharged both on side of inlet and outlet of vessel to be removed from operation. Plant proposed for realization of this method has gas-distributing unit made in form of two distributors with common slide valves fitted at inlet and outlet and interconnected by mans of swivel mechanism ensuring operation of vessel at time shift of T/N. Slide valves are provided with high- and low- pressure cavity for discharge of adsorbed gas mixture; distributor mounted at outlet of plant is provided with gas bypass passage and cavity for communication of outlet of vessel working in adsorption mode with outlet of vessel to be placed in operation. EFFECT: increased productivity without increase of overall dimensions of plant. 5 cl, 4 dwg
