FIELD: cleaning inner surfaces of pipe lines; heat-power engineering; irrigation; potable water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes inserting the cleaning unit into pipe line for crushing and separating of solid deposits, supply of working agent under pressure necessary for motion of cleaning unit followed by removal of deposits. Cleaning unit has rod and jet-forming collars; sharp-leaved arresting plates are mounted before first (in way of motion of cleaning unit) for intensification of cavitation processes; these plates are made from flexible material; ends of these plates are located at distance from plane of maximum diameter of collar equal to 0.5-1.5 diameters of pipe line to be cleaned.
