FIELD: paint and varnish materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing dyes based on bitumen materials. Invention relates to the development of dye comprising bitumen, petroleum polymeric resin, pigment, filling agent and solvent. As bitumen source a dye comprises product of oxidation of the following mixture, wt.-%: tar, 72-90; tall oil, 6-18; pyrolusite, 3-6.5; pentaerythritol, 1-3.5; as pigment and filling agent pellet powder from mining-concentration plant taken in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: bitumen, 6.0-29.0; petroleum polymeric resin, 0.5-2.6; pellet powder from mining- -concentration plant, 43.4-83.0; solvent, the balance. Method for preparing bitumen for dye involves oxidation of petroleum raw. The developed method for preparing bitumen for dye allows to reduce time of process, increase yield in preparing refractory bitumens with simultaneous improvement of their properties. Invention provides the development of dye with improved properties, namely, reduced drying time and enhanced hardness and the method for preparing bitumen for preparing this dye.
