FIELD: thermal engineering; combustion of various solid fuels such as coal and steam generation. SUBSTANCE: furnace plant has vertical furnace, fuel feed bin disposed above furnace, vibrating fire-grates tilted downward through certain angle to horizon towards each other, heat exchanger, air feed pipe, and gas conduit; novelty is that proposed furnace plant has enlarged radiant and heat-transfer surfaces which provides for longer combustion period, its fire-grates are integrated to form two vertical rows disposed at opposite walls of furnace; each row has at least four staggered fire-grates mounted in a spaced relation to one of furnace walls, fire-grate-to-wall clearance amounting to 5-10% of furnace width; heat exchangers are arranged between fire-grates disposed in furnace combustion zone; number of heat exchangers through height of mentioned combustion zone is different and depends on desired heat pick-up. EFFECT: improved thermodynamic and power characteristics, reduced power requirement, simplified design. 6 cl, 3 dwg
