FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves transecting ribs at the points the deformed ribs are attached to the vertebral column, to rib carcass and in 2-3 places in non-uniform way along the rib length depending on the rib deformity. Fixation is carried out at least to one rod. The middle portion of the rib is modeled corresponding to maximum deformity shape. Proximal end of the rod is positioned on unchanged rib. The middle portion of the rod is placed above the maximum deflection point in a way that it represents mirror-image of the maximum deflection point. The distal end is placed in interspinous space. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of correction; stable treatment effect.
