FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to orthopedics and may be applicable to thoracoplasty of funnel-like deformation of the thorax. Produce chondrotomy of the ribs parasternally, obliquely, with the retention of the posterior wall of the costal cartilage, subperiosteally, at the apex of their deformity, without disturbance of the soft tissue wall of the thorax. Cut the xiphoid. Produce a transverse corticotomy in front of the base of the sternum with excision of the wedge. Produce a longitudinal oblique corticotomy of the sternum in front, from the cross section of the sternum to the level of the cut out xiphoid, thus forming a T-shaped section of the sternum. Simultaneously, the deformation of the sternocostal frame is corrected with fixation by the endocorrector, made in the form of a longitudinal elastic element with transverse plates installed at its ends.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce traumatism, to provide a persistent therapeutic effect.
