HYGIENIC LAYER CONTAINING GLUE ADAPTED FOR CONTACTING WITH USER'S BODY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: absorbing layers for hygienic purposes. SUBSTANCE: hygienic layer comprises absorbing inner part having at least one main surface contacting with user's body and pressure-sensitive glue applied to layer side adapted for contacting with user's body. According to one version, article has restricted sizes and comprises thermally fusible glue, which is pressed to user's body region adjoining to genitals. Glue has melting temperature Tg of middle block less than -10 C, G' (modulus of elasticity) less than 15•10⁴ dyne/sq. cm at 10 rad/s (25 C), G'' (loss modulus) of 6•10⁴ dyne/sq.cm, rupture strength not in the excess of 10 psi, and does not need subsequent hardening operation after cooling. According to other version, article comprises glue, which is pressed to user's body region adjoining to genitals and which has weight less than 1,500 mg/sq.inch and tangent-delta positioned inside rectangle ABCD, where rectangle ABCD is obtained by graphic plotting of frequency in radians per second versus tangent- delta at 20 C for above mentioned glue. Rectangle ABCD has tangent-delta at points A and D of about 0.01 and of about 0.6, respectively, at frequency of 0.1 radian per second, and tangent-delta at points B and C of about 0.1 and of about 1.7, respectively, at frequency of about 1,000 radians per second. Article has good adhesion to user's skin, even in case of sweating in hot weather or in wound drainage zone. Article is separated from user's body with minimal discomfort.
