FIELD: biotechnology in oil producing industry; applicable in development of oil reservoirs nonuniform in permeability and oil saturation. SUBSTANCE: composition includes aqueous solution of exopolysacharide produced by strain Azotobacter vinelandii (Lipman)FCh-1, VKPMV-5933 in form of culture fluid, water glass, surfactant in form of neonol AF 9-12 and hydrochloric acid with the following amounts of components, wt.%: exopolysacharide 5-20; neonol AF9-12 0.02-0.1; water glass 5- 20; hydrochloric acid 0.05-0.08; the balance, water. EFFECT: provided control of kinetics of gelling, selectively higher filtering resistance to water flow in high-permeability washer zones. 4 tbl
