FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of potential of spontaneous polarization, preferably at subhorizontal sections of holes. SUBSTANCE: at least two measuring electrodes are moved along hole, potential difference between above-mentioned measuring electrodes is measured. Value of potential of spontaneous polarization is determined by measured values. Measuring electrodes are placed in hole at one and same level. One measuring electrode as minimum is nonpolarized electrode due to its location in case filled with electrolytic solution. Another measuring electrode is installed outside of case at one level with nonpolarized electrode. Part of walls of case located between nonpolarizing electrode and measuring electrode mounted outside of case is made of ion-permeable material. The rest of walls are manufactured from electric insulation material. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy of potentials of spontaneous polarization, expanded application field of procedure thanks to capability of measurement of potentials of spontaneous polarization on sections of hole of different inclination. 9 cl, 3 dwg
