FIELD: television and display engineering. SUBSTANCE: screen assembly designed for use in cathode-fluorescent displays in developing multicolor and full-color devices for displaying digital, character, and graphical information, for great full-color video-terminal panels, and also for medium- and low-voltage devices of diode or triode type where basis of elementary full-color light-emitting cell (pixel) is built around broadband radiation spectrums, including sulfide phosphors has three types of different-color broadband phosphors of which first one is built around zinc sulfide and emits blue light. Assembly has solid light filter over entire screen disposed on path of optical transmission of phosphor light to viewer or color face glass that functions as light filter; novelty is use of highly effective color triad of broadband phosphors built around zinc sulfides and zinc- cadmium of which second phosphor emits yellow-green light in 480-610 nm range and third one, orange or red-orange light in 530-650 nm range and that light filter absorption band is in 530- 590 nm range which enhances brightness of red component, reduces excess brightness of green component to desired level, shifts its chromaticity coordinates towards standard green components, and also eliminates chrominance distortions of red component at high excitation density and high background of external light.
