FIELD: meat industry equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has heat insulated thermal chamber comprising hangover conveyor with frames mounted thereon, smoke and air-steam mixture supply and discharge systems, steam source and drum-type smoke generator. Steam source is smoke generator with peripheral openings formed in its discharge flange. Peripheral openings are additionally equipped with spring-loaded valves. Coaxial opening around central pipe has controllable gate made in the form of diaphragm. Apparatus may be also used in fish industry enterprises, cheese making and other plants requiring thermal processing of products. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, provision for producing smoke and steam with predetermined parameters in single apparatus and complete conversion of sawdust into smoke. 8 dwg
