SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cosmetic composition as gel for fixation and/or comb comprising in the cosmetically acceptable medium at least one thickening polymer (a), one fixing polymer (b) and one insoluble powder-like compound (c) where a thickening agent (a) is taken among natural polymers or modified natural compounds (i), cross-linked copolymers of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid (ii), thickening cross-linked polyacrylamides (iii) and associative polymers comprising at least one hydrophilic link and at least one saturated chain (iv); fixing polymer is a non-cross-linked polymer taken among anionic, cationic, amphoteric and non-ionic fixing polymers and their mixtures and powder-like compound (c) is formed by insoluble and non-laminated material. Invention relates also to method for cosmetic hair treatment where above described composition is used. The gel composition provides clearness of hands after gel application on hair and ensures to carry out its application on dry hair without the comb destruction and provides the uniform gel distribution.
