FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transportation system designed for transportation of separate packaged loads and containers from loading site to receiving platforms for processing, particularly at open cast mining of ores. It can also be used for carrying cabins with passengers on working sections and rough mountainous terrains. Proposed transportation system includes loading and unloading platform for containers or cabins, guide route with load feeding and return runs, and power sets. Guide route is made in form of closed manmade tunnel with light transparent walls and windows on sections. Containers or cabins are installed in tunnel space at terminal sections and in place of changing over of load- feeding run into return run. Space of tunnel is filled with working medium which can be either working liquid or air to provide traveling of containers or cabins owing to application of force coinciding with direction of their movement. Transportation system is furnished with drive to accelerate or decelerate movement of cabins or containers. System employs energy of braking of container or cabin by conversion and subsequent supply of said energy to power sets of system. Tunnel is made in form of cylinder with working platforms at terminals and intermediate sections for loading and unloading of containers. Drive for acceleration or deceleration of movement of cabins or containers is made in form of pneumatic, or hydraulic, or electromagnetic drive.
