FIELD: treatment of radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: device has liquid-waste treatment chamber placed in safety vessel. Treatment chamber has shaped walls and is filled with polymeric polyelectrolyte hydrogel with perforated filter bowl placed into it. Filter bowl communicates with clean-water discharge bowl through pipeline. Treatment chamber is provided, in addition, with electrodes for building up electromagnetic field, acoustic and infrared-wave radiators, and heat exchanger. Used as acoustic-wave radiators are primarily ultrasonic-wave radiators and as electrodes, chamber wall and perforated filter bowl wall. Pipe connection with perforated extension piece for spraying liquid wastes is installed in upper part of vessel. Interior of treatment chamber and that of vessel communicate with vacuum unit. EFFECT: improved capacity, reduced power requirement, simplified procedure. 2 cl, 1 dwg
