FIELD: construction industry, formation of outer heat insulation and protective coats during erection of new and reconstruction of existing buildings and structures, outer heat insulation with thin layer of plaster on warmth-keeping jacket. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of heat insulation plate for wall facing includes mixing of expanded pearlite and aqueous solution of sodium or potassium hydroxide, subsequent formation and thermal treatment at temperature up to 750 C. 3-60% aqueous solution of sodium or potassium hydroxide in the amount of 0.13-1.46 kg per 1 kg of expanded pearlite is utilized in mixing. Formation is so realized that initial mixture is compacted by factor of 1.5 as minimum with production of plate which shows compression strength from 07 to 2.7 MPa and heat conduction index from 0.053 to 0.088 W/(m•K) with density from 220 to 450 kg/cu m. EFFECT: widened range of heat insulation plates for wall facing suitable for heat insulation of both newly erected and reconstructed buildings. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
