FIELD: internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ignition systems of internal combustion engines, particularly, to noncontact ignition systems operating complete with magnetoelectric engine shaft position pickups. Proposed electronic ignition system contains magnetoelectric shaft position pickup of internal combustion engine, accumulation time unit, current limiting unit and power switch whose first outlet is connected with inlet of current limiting unit and second outlet is connected to primary winding of ignition coil. System is furnished additionally with half-period pulse shaper. Outlet of shaft position pickup is connected with inlet of current limiting unit and inlet of half-period pulse shaper, outlet of half-period pulse shaper is connected with inlet of accumulation time unit and inlet of current-limiting unit, and outlet of accumulation time unit and outlet of current-limiting unit is connected with inlet of power switch. EFFECT: improved reliability of system owing to possibility of exact setting of required duration of accumulation pulse and reduced power switch current-limiting time. 2 cl, 3 dwg
