FIELD: compressor plants for cooling and compressing air. SUBSTANCE: air is cooled in vertical inter-section and final coolers of compressor by means of counter-flow sprinkling cooling of gas by its natural condensate circulated through inner loop which is cooled in water-to-water heat exchanger by water of external loop. Coolers are made in form of cylindrical vertical vessels mounted after compression sections and connected with delivery branch pipes in their lower portion and with suction branch pipes of compression sections in their upper portion. Pipe lines provided with hot condensate adjusting fittings are connected to lower portion of sectional cooler and are provided with free drainage of condensate into cooler neck wherefrom cooled condensate is fed by pump to upper portion of air coolers through adjusting fittings and pipe lines for sprinkling. EFFECT: reduced power requirements; enhanced efficiency of cooling; reduced consumption of return cycle water. 3 cl, 1 dwg
