FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: header has casing with cutter bar and hitch for attaching casing to self-propelled unit. Hitch has transverse beam with carrier wheels. Transverse beam is connected through pivot joints to frame member for moving thereof traverse to direction of advancement of unit and to hinged frame for moving thereof in vertical plane with respect to direction of advancement of unit. Hinged frame is connected with soil relief following mechanism and with casing through stop rollers, brackets and pivot hinge. Carrier wheels are made self-adjusting. EFFECT: increased efficiency due to uniform redistribution of changing loads from unit deck and, as a result, enhanced reliability in operation and increased protection from breakage. 11 cl, 5 dwg
