FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents used for treatment and disinfection of articles and equipment of medicinal designation and can be used for recovery disinfecting agent where concentration of peracetic acid is diminished with time. Method involves addition of 35% hydrogen peroxide solution taken in the amount 9.0-16.0 mole per 1 l of the parent disinfecting agent with its fitness time running out and where the content of peracetic acid is reduced significantly. Prepared mixture is kept for 3-6 days up to recovery of the parent concentration of peracetic acid. EFFECT: prolonged fitness time of disinfecting agent. 1 tbl
