FIELD: tire industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tires of wheeled vehicles. Proposed radial-ply tire consists of tread cap reinforcement member with threads intersecting in adjacent layers and side wall reinforcement members with meridional threads. Side wall reinforcement members are formed by layers of tread cap reinforcement, even from right-hand (left-hand) bead and odd from left-hand (right-hand) bead whose threads are turned in opposite shoulder zones in meridional direction and laid to corresponding bead. According to proposed method, cord layers are applied with overlapping in center of assembly drum. Then layers of cord cut out at angle of 0^°<α<45^° are applied one onto the other so that tight-hand (left-hand) parts of odd layers and left-hand (right-hand) parts of even layers are arranged in middle of assembly drum forming symmetrical blank of tread cap reinforcement relative to center with threads crossing in adjacent layers and left-hand (right-hand) parts of odd layers and right-hand (left-hand) part of even layers with parallel threads in adjacent layers are arranged, respectively, on left-hand and right-hand halves of assembly drum. The beads are installed, parts of thread are applied, and assembled tire blank is molded by turning tread reinforcement blank and tread circumferentially relative to tire beads to make threads of reinforcements of side walls obtain meridional or close to meridional direction, and are cured.
