FIELD: mining industry; applicable in construction and operation of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: well strainer has partially perforated tubular framework with longitudinal supporting rods whose external surface has threaded grooves for turns of winding wire rigidly fastened in bending points. Said framework between two any longitudinal supporting rods in place of no perforation, has symmetrical longitudinal groove and additional supporting rod rigidly secured in it. Thickness of additional supporting rod is less than that of longitudinal supporting rods by depth of threaded groove to provide for gap for bending. Method of well strainer formation includes perforation of tubular framework, symmetrical rigid installation on its surface of longitudinal supporting rods, thread cutting on external surface of longitudinal supporting rods and laying into said thread grooves of turns of winding wire. Perforation is performed after installation of longitudinal supporting rods on surface of tubular framework. Tubular framework is made with places having no perforation between two any longitudinal supporting rods. Made in said places with no perforation is additional symmetrical longitudinal groove, before laying of winding wire turns, in which additional supporting rod is secured to provide for gap for bending of turns of winding wire, and then, they are rigidly fixed to additional supporting rod by successive deformation of bend.
