FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device incorporates generator, power supply source, key, measurement bridge into which arm heating filament-pickup is placed. Additional variable resistor is added into arm of bridge having heating filament-pickup, additional filament-pickup showing same temperature coefficient of resistance as first filament-pickup is placed in series in another arm of bridge one of whose inputs is connected to first heating filament-pickup. Heating filament-pickup is located inside cylindrical tube. Procedure measuring thermal physical properties of liquids and gases with the aid of above- mentioned device makes it possible to determine viscosity of liquids and gases in addition to thermal diffusivity.
