FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seat slide which can be locked in preset position. Proposed slide has fixed section and movable section displaced in fixed section. Extreme part of fixed section is provided with number of slots and is arranged close to side wall of movable section. Lock installed for displacement across direction of sliding is provided with teeth directed by slots made in wall. Said teeth get into slots to lock slide. Wall is furnished with locking means in form of curved part located opposite to extreme part. Sizes of teeth and material of teeth are so that teeth deform under action of shearing force exceeding preset value and deflect in direction parallel to curved part, with their ends located opposite to curved part to prevent release of lock. EFFECT: provision of high reliability and safety by preventing any possibilities of release of lock. 9 cl, 11 dwg
