FIELD: space engineering; methods of ground thermal tests of communication satellites. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes stepwise change of temperature and keeping object under at this temperature. Required temperature distribution is obtained through removal of excessive heat from heat carrier in liquid passage of payload past radiator of system. Device proposed for realization of this method is provided with intermediate heat exchanger with bypass valve fitted before it. Valve inlet is communicated with liquid passage of payload; first outlet is communicated with liquid passage of system after heat exchanger outlet and second outlet is communicated with heat exchanger inlet. Ground cavity of heat exchanger is communicated through hydraulic joints with ground thermal mode control system which ensures required removal of excessive heat; this system is located beyond thermal vacuum chamber where satellite is placed. EFFECT: facilitated procedure; reduction of outlays and time required for conducting tests. 3 cl, 2 dwg
