FIELD: building industry. SUBSTANCE: raw mixture used for preparing ceramic articles being mainly made of brick comprises clay and waste from concentration of iron quartzite where clay comprises deoxidizing agents taken in the amount 18-29 by mass representing by caking agents (Al2O3, Fe2O3) and alkaline agents (CaO, K2O, Na2O) components. Wastes from concentration of iron quartzite are used as powder prepared in wetting magnetic separation of latter and exhibiting 60% by its mass fraction, not less, with value 74 x 10-6 M and specific surface 250 m2/kg not less, taken in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: clay with indicated deoxidizing agents, 85-90; powder from concentration wastes by wetting magnetic separation of iron quartzite of indicated degree of dispersion, 10-15. Invention can be used in production of ceramic brick, stones and other articles of coarse ceramics. Invention provides the development of raw base for preparing ceramic brick being without using deficient components and acceptable strength indices of articles made of this raw mixture, among them, elevated hardiness values.
