FIELD: building materials industry. SUBSTANCE: the process comprises drying a clay stock, grinding and homogenizing it, semidry pressing a semi-product and roasting. The composition blend is added with 75-85 wt % of a fine fraction of iron ore beneficiation waste. During the moistening operation (moisture content of 9-12 wt % ), the fine fraction is granulated to a granule size of not greater than 15 mm and granules are covered with a powder of 15-25 wt % dry comminuted clay, the articles are pressed at a specific pressure of 10-30 MPa and roasted at 950-1050 C. The physical and mechanical properties are as follows: the ultimate bending strength 6.7-8.3 MPa, the frost resistance 35 cycles and the average density 1.78-1.81 g/cm3.
