FIELD: oil industry; preparation of heat carrier for heat treatment of wells and equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes spraying fuel, enveloping it by revolving flow of air blown into air swirler having form of truncated cone and burning; spraying of fuel is performed through at least one injector at simultaneous twisting of air and return of part of fuel flow to injector; air for enveloping the fuel is preliminarily twisted; then it is fed to injector face and is directed in parallel relative to its axis; fuel-and-air mixture thus formed is ignited, directed to injector and sucked to air swirler; enveloping burning fuel-and-air mixture by revolving air flow is performed after passage of air gate in swirler at angle at cone vertex of 120 deg.; air blown tangentially to air swirler is simultaneously directed over walls of air swirler at simultaneous deceleration of air flow. Burner proposed for burning fuel includes housing, at least one vortex injector and air swirler at tangential air supply; burner is also provided with air gate; vortex injector is movable relative to air swirler and its housing has air passages with plates located at angle of 30 deg. relative to generatrix of housing cylinder; vortex injector has needle with spherical upper part, taper surfaces and cuts connecting the space behind taper surfaces and space above spherical part tangentially to line of connection of spherical part and taper surface; air swirler includes cone and cylinder; tangential air inlet is made in cone of swirler by means of ports with side walls located at angle of 30 deg. relative to generatrix surface of cone; width of said ports is equal to thickness of wall of swirler cone and its height is equal to distance from top of port as far as base of cone of air swirler; cone angle of air swirler is equal to 120 deg.; cylinder of air swirler has holes and bead with spherical part; top of this bead is located below ports by amount equal to diameter of hole; number of ports is equal to number of holes.
