FIELD: examination of geologic prospecting and field holes. SUBSTANCE: borehole space-sensitive gamma-radiation detector comprises detection unit and electronic unit. Detection unit incorporates working scintillator placed into container of protective scintillator and optically coupled to it. Key scintillator is mounted inside protective scintillator for optical contact with working and protective scintillators. All three scintillators have different fluorescence times. EFFECT: simplified design, raised sensitivity and improved directional recording. 2 dwg
