FIELD: nuclear power engineering; fuel pellet manufacture. SUBSTANCE: fuel pellet pressing unit has removable loose-material mixing container, molding-powder charge bin, batcher, and press with multiple-way system incorporating die, top and bottom punches. Molding-powder charge bin is provided with glove-box installed in its top part. Glove-box accommodates molding-powder chute extensible through its height. Installed in top part of glove-box coaxially to extensible chute is sealed junction device for chute, glove-box, and removable loose-material mixing container. Spring-loaded electric vibrators are suspended from brackets in bottom part of box on both ends of bin at certain offset through height. Rod-mounted beaters engageable with mating beaters on bin are arranged coaxially to each vibrator. Bin is secured to box bottom for vibrating through flexible spacer inserted between bin walls and box bottom. Press is covered with expandable-wall box. Molding-powder charging unit of press bin and press proper are sealed thereby eliminating disturbances in yield of molded pellets and molding powder bridging in press bin.
