FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the nuclear industry and can be used in the manufacture of nuclear fuel pellets. Device for controlling and maintaining the uniformity of the movement of the powdered nuclear fuel when it is filled into the fuel pellet pressing device comprises a hopper connected by a filling tube to a pellet pressing device, a gamma detection unit located in close proximity to the side walls of the filling tube, an industrial computer for recording and processing the measurement results. Pneumatic vibrator is mounted on the wall of the filling pipe to maintain uniform motion of the press powder. Gamma-ray detection unit consists of two detectors located along the filling tube at a distance from each other.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control and maintain the uniformity of the movement of the press powder of nuclear fuel when it is fed into the pressing of fuel pellets.
