FIELD: electrical engineering; motor-pump units for liquid extraction from boreholes of different diameters and depths. SUBSTANCE: water-proofing device has motor-shaft sealing arrangement that incorporates fixed hermetically sealed shell isolating driving magnetic half-coupling disposed in sealed space and mechanically coupled with motor shaft from driven magnetic half-coupling. Effective cooling and lubricating system ensures reliable operation of device. Part of liquid flow pumped from borehole is used in proposed device as cooling agent. Proposed design of device makes it practically impossible for liquid extracted from borehole to penetrate into motor space.
