WAY TO CONTROL SYNCHRONOUS ELECTRIC MOTOR WITH EXCITATION FROM PERMANENT MAGNETS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2210171 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering, electric motor drives, design of electromechanical steering wheel boosters for cars. SUBSTANCE: way to control synchronous electric motor with excitation from permanent magnets consists in formation of m-phase system of currents in phase windings of motor, in continuous measurement of value of magnetic induction in immobile points located on plane perpendicular to rotation axis of rotor equidistantly from it. Number of measurement points equals number of phase windings of motor. Angular position of each point is shifted from axis of corresponding phase winding through angle equal to 90 electrical degrees. Current in each phase is formed proportional to product of momentary values of induction of magnetic field in corresponding measurement point and specified value of torque. Angle of 90 electrical degrees contained between vector of current and vector of magnetic flux is secured in any position of rotor. As result pulsation of torque is eliminated.
