HOUSING-FREE PRESTRESSED ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2210448 C1

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly housing-free prestressed stands of rolling mill. SUBSTANCE: housing-free prestressed rolling stand includes frame, chocks arranged in frame and supporting rolls in bearing units. Frame and chocks are mutually joined by means of intermediate members through tension bolts having fixing members and through hydraulic devices for preliminarily loading. Stand also includes mechanism for setting interroll distance and mechanisms for axial adjustment of rolls. Chocks are provided with trunnions mounted in turnings of intermediate members in such a way that axes of trunnions coincide with rotation axes of chocks. Intermediate members are in the form of struts having supporting protrusions and spacing sleeves. The last have flat ends joined with fixing members of tension bolts and with hydraulic devices for preliminarily loading. Spacing sleeves also have ends with cylindrical surfaces joined with trunnions of chocks in such a way that axes of cylindrical surfaces of ends of spacing sleeves coincide with axes of trunnions. Due to coinciding of rotation axes and due to minimum radiuses of surfaces for mutually shifting chocks and sleeves, torque value determining degree of non-uniformness of effort distribution along length of bearing unit is minimized. EFFECT: increased useful life period of bearing units without increased size of stand. 2 dwg
