SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel chemical substances, namely to aryl-substituted naphtha- and anthraquinones of the formula (I) (Ia-h) where (a-g) means: R is hydrogen atom; (h) R means OMe; and X means 7- hydroxy-2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone-5-yl; (b) X means 7-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-ethoxycarbonyl-1,4- naphthoquinone-5-yl; (c) X means 3-hydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl; (d) X means 8-hydroxy-3- trimethylsiloxy-2-ethoxycarbonyl-1,1a, 4,4a-tetrahydro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl; (e) X means 8- hydroxy-3-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl; (f) X means 3-hydroxy-2-ethoxycarbonyl- 4,4a-dihydro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl; (g) X means 3,8-dihydroxy-2-ethoxycarbonyl-4,4a-dihydro- 9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl; (h) X means 3-hydroxy-2-ethoxycarbonyl-4,4a-dihydro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-yl showing an anti-HIV-activity.
