FIELD: plastic metal working, namely forming parts of sheet blanks of hard-to-form alloys. SUBSTANCE: invention provides lowered spacing between sheet blank and working surfaces of die and punch during period of heating blank and reduced efforts for tensioning blank. Method comprises steps of placing sheet blank in plane coinciding with direction of gravity force in clamp between die and punch at minimum distance from them without contact with working surfaces of die and punch; electric-contact heating of blank; tensioning it and shaping; placing clamps one over another at forming parts of blanks having width relatively small in comparison with its length. EFFECT: lowered energy consumption for forming parts of sheet blanks. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 ex
